Benefits of a Personal Color Analysis Consultation

Hi everyone,

Happy weekend! I hope you and your family are doing great.  Since people make value judgments about your appearance in less than 10 seconds, the impact of color is immediate and lasting.  The colors that you wear speak volumes about you without saying a word.  Wearing the right hues can make the difference of making a great impact or not so great impression.

Color affects mood, apparent body shape, apparent age, your outlook on life and the overall impression you make on others. Wearing the best color choices that compliment your personal features such as your skin, eye and hair color will make you look younger, healthier, brighter and consequently much more credible. Furthermore, wearing unflattering colors can make you look older, awkward, ill, tired or dull.

A professional Color Consultation will discover which colors look best for work, interviews, dates, meetings, formal or social gatherings.

What will I know after a professional consultation?

  1. Basic Undertone
  2. Major Season
  3. Color Theory
  4. Personal Color Value
  5. Personal Color Intensity
  6. Best Color choices for Tops, Pants, Suits, Skirts, Dresses, Shoes
  7. Best Color choices for Accessories (Hand bags, Eyewear, Belts, Sunglasses, Jewelry, Watch Selection)
  8. Best Color recommendation Hair

This post was inspired after attending a live session where I was talking about what I do as a personal stylist. I had so many questions on the topic that I thought it would be a good idea to write a post providing more insights of what is included in a color analysis consultation. Not a regular post but I hope you find it useful.

Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I did a color consult many years ago and learned that silver and platinum jewelry are best for my skin tone/complexion. What I discovered overall about colors that work/don't work for me was very insightful. Love the dress.

    1. Thank you Clearissa - It is not mandatory - Some of us got an eye and know exactly how to identify colors that look good on them. They might not understand the rationale behind it but they do just fine.

    1. lol - Thank you Mireille - Once you know what works for you and how to wear what doesn't- everything will look good on you :-). Although as you said - skin and hair coloring definitely play their role in what color with flatter you or not.
