6 Fashion Tips for the Stylish Woman

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I initially wrote that I was glad that today is Thursday because it's almost weekend but I had to take that back. Since I have been quarantining, I basically work 7 days a week. I don't know if I am trying not to fall into depression or if I am  simply having the guilt of not being in an office environment. I just can't help it. My self-care basically come down to eating healthy, work, homeschooling and taking care of the kids. This week, I tried to start exercising again but I had to stop because of my back (again). So much for TLC, relaxation and else. Anyway, let's talk about the topic of the day which is a follow-up to Tuesday post. Here's 6 fashion tips that can help you elevate the way you dress on a daily basis.

Being able to dress chic and stylish every day is a skill that can be difficult to master. Whether you're headed to work, out for drinks or to those fancy Sunday Brunch, these advices are sure to see you looking fabulous. While they may seem small and simple, these handy tips can revolutionize the way that you dress on a daily basis.

1- Invest in Styles that Work for Your Shape
Investing in designs that work for your body shape is essential. If you’re not sure what clothes work best for you, have a look at the most flattering items you already own. If those high-rise skinny jeans and that empire waist dress are working for you, you should shop for other pieces with the same silhouette.

2- Curate Your Colours to Suit Your Skin Tone
If you wonder why some colors look good on you and others not, it’s simply because of your skin tone. If you have a cool complexion, shop for garments in colors like white, black, grey, silver, and blue. If your undertones are warm, on the other hand, stock up on designs in shades of brown, yellow, gold, olive, and red. Ladies, Happy Shopping.

3- Tailoring
The work of a good tailor can make even a bargain wardrobe look designer. Whether it’s a pair of jeans that have been hemmed or a dress that’s been taken in, nothing beats a garment that hugs you in all the right places. Another great tip is to get your tailor to change cheap buttons to fancier styles. Doing so will make all your jackets and coats look infinitely more luxurious. Some of my favorites buttons available here.

4- Organize your closet
Declutter and organize your closet will definitely help you create great outfit because you will be able to see what you actually own. After doing so, your closet will feel much more inspiring, and you’ll put an end to those “nothing to wear” moments.

5-  Three types of blazers to add to your wardrobe
A tailored blazer, a denim jacket and a leather moto jacket. While a tailored blazer will have you covered for work and formal occasions, the denim jacket will take care of casual looks. The leather jacket, on the other hand, is perfect for edgy outfits and evening drinks. You can easily elevate any casual and regular outfit to an edge by simply throwing one of these jackets on.

6- Don't forget to accessorise
Accessories should be the final step to completing all your outfits. Whether it’s something as simple as a belt or as decadent as lashings of necklaces, accessories have the power to transform your look from good to great. Therefore, it’s important to invest in good accessories and remember to wear them. Stylish shoes, bags, hats, sunglasses, scarves, and jewelry are all essential items to own.

  2. Quarantine has been good for my family because my parents both run their own businesses and it's easier for them to work from home. However, I know it's been hard for other people to deal with.

Love these tips! I love wearing form-fitting clothes too, as they can enhance any outfit.
