Hi everyone,
Happy Saturdays! I know, yet another day in the confinement of our home. Anyway, I hope that you are doing well. When I was a kid, my mother used to always dressed me in red for Easter. Go figure! For her, the color red means victory and as Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, she never understood the reason why people wear pastel colors during that period let alone yellow - Yellow to her means treason -lol. Anyway, today I am sharing 5 outfit monochromatic outfit ideas featuring the color red. All pieces came from my wardrobe - and I must admit that some pieces are archaic. Anyway, Happy Easter everyone and I hope that you will enjoy this new serie.

WHAT IS MONOCHROMATIC?
![]() |
Monochromatic color wheel |
The word “monochromatic” breaks down into two pieces: “mono” meaning single and “chromatic” meaning color. So a monochromatic outfit would consist of pieces of one color.
This doesn’t mean that you would only wear solid black or solid red from head to toe. No, the joy of the monochromatic fashion trend is wearing different shades and tints of the same color, these are monochromatic colors. A common misconception is that monochrome dressing means wearing black and white (and sometimes grey). But it actually just means wearing separates of one colour. Any color. Mono = one and chrome = color, so, therefore, you can wear different shades of a single color to create an overall tonal look.
TIPS
Make sure you mix textures within your monochromatic outfit! You want to add visual interest, depth, and dimension to your look so it’s not one-dimensional or boring. We have seen a lot of monochromatic looks on the runway lately using some bold colors such as red, orange and indigo blue. A monochromatic look is so effortlessly chic and timeless. Monochromatic outfits are also great for petite women (like me). Dressing monochromatically can make you appear taller and slimmer because a monochromatic outfit creates one seamless line from head to toe. Try it and see!
