Hi everyone,
Happy weekend! I hope you are staying safe and follow the instructions during this difficult time. I have been debating whether or not I should blog about the current situation given that I want to keep my blog a stress free environment where we just exchange on beauty, style, family and love. After a week of thinking, I came to the decision that it would be a good idea to share some tips on how to cope with anxiety during such difficult time. So here's to 5 things that you can do that can actually help:
- Stick with the facts and don't read too much news (not to mention stay away of Fake News);
- Stay active: Exercising will keep your mind occupied and will also help with the extra calories you are adding to your regimen during this stressful period;
- Follow healthcare instructions: if in doubt, speak to a doctor or a health practitioner;
- Boost your immune system by eating healthy, taking your vitamins and having plenty of sleep;
- Keep yourself occupied: Working on a project, facetiming or Video chat with family and friends to keep in touch, family game, meditation... It is also a great time to bond with your children.
And remember to wake up and dress up everyday. That will help you go by your day and do something fun or productive.
Remember:
- News to follow: CDC, WHO Int. and news from our Ministry of Health to keep up with our own situation.
- Some Meditation App: HeadSpace, Calm . You can also do yoga, read the bible, find meditation videos on YouTube. or find what it is that works for you best.

Linking up with those wonderful ladies here
No anxiety here. My gym is closed, however, I've been working out with the app daily. Not watching much of the news at all and staying away from fake news. Someone sent me a text recently that was fake news. I told her to be mindful of what she shares with others and to check the source before sharing. No dressing up over here. I've been perfectly fine wearing sweats and t-shirts. And yes, boosting my immune system is a daily practice.
ReplyDeleteGreat Yvonne, staying away from fake news and boosting your immune system are the best things that you can do for now. Stay safe.
DeleteWe have established a pretty good routine here with school work and a lot of outside time. Getting chores done and making some fun desserts and snacks in the kitchen. Eating dinner outdoors and playing more games.

Sounds a lot of fun Mireille. It is definitely an opportunity to spend time with your family :-).
DeleteSO thankful you still linked! I was MIA for weeks!
ReplyDeleteI had to mute the FB posts of the physician groups I am in. I was getting more anxious. We already get the emails from work... I needed to distance from the drama. It is scary every angle we look at it.
These are great tips.
Agree with exercise! so very important right now for my self-care.
Yes Sarah, I noticed since I checked your blog on a weekly basis. Glad to see you back. It is also important to filter the news since we are so powerless :-(. Stay safe!
DeleteI love all your combination, great article, it is always necessary to remind us of these things, before I kept calm reading about the situation (you know, how to be in control) but at this moment I no longer do it and since I feel like this I feel better.

DeleteGreat tips, Moumous! I have been keeping my social media scrolling to an absolute minimum because I just get irritated if I start reading it all. I haven’t watched one minute of the news either. I just stay inside and do my thing as I normally would and I honestly haven’t experienced an ounce of anxiety. I am loving your gorgeous white dress and fun hat and those sandals are just perfect! Thanks for linking up.

ReplyDeleteIndeed Christina :-)
DeleteYes, a lot of people are fighting with anxiety. Now, in this crazy wordl, more than ever. The fear got me last week, I wasn't even able to write the post or do other ordinary things. But with the firm rules and some self-care, it is better. Great tips, iris. Oh, and this hat is a show stopper. Wonderful look.
