Hi everyone,
This photoshoot was a challenge. Since the twins were born I have been wanting to make a family photoshoot in PJs. Christmas family pictures in their pajamas has been a trend for a few years now. They look so effortlessly beautiful on Pinterest and Instagram that I thought it would be a piece of cake. Actually it was, until it was time to gather together and actually take the photos.
The process was easy, I found a great deal on Black Friday and everything arrived in less than a week. @MJphotography made the process very easy for us. She came home and set up the studio to ease the process for the twins. Arrived on time - right after a previous photoshoot with Farah (Vonvon). Everyone was ready before the set-up was ready so things started turning sour. The twins started to undo everything that was done. Aubrey joined the party as she thought it was actually fun. By the time we were ready to shoot, I was sweating and exhausted. Then came the challenge to keep the twins still and smiling. To their defense it was nap time but I was expected them to be more cooperative in helping mommy making memories for everyone (but mostly for mom).
So I thought it would be fun to share the outcome with you because now that I got over my disappointment I actually find them quite funny. Kudos to @MJPhotography not to have given up on us although she knew what she was signing up for.

Joyeux Noel a toi aussi Mireille (Merry Christmas to you too).
DeleteSuch a beautiful family! I don't think I could convince my husband to do the PJ thing but maybe every else? :) Love it.
ReplyDeletelol - I got lucky on this one. He's never on board when it comes to taking photos and stuff- I played the "making memories for the kids" card to get him in the PJs that I purchased without him knowing lol.
DeleteYou have such a cute family. The pictures turned out beautifully. I can imagine how difficult was to convince your twins to participate on the family photo. My philosophy was that the imperfections makes the picture perfect and memorable. Thank you for sharing this wonderful memory with My Red Carpet.

Great philosophy Anna, That's what we ended up going for once we were able to keep everything more or less neat! lol
DeleteWhat fun matching pyjamas! i think you got some great photos! We try get an annual photo with Santa every year but it doesn't always work out like I'd planned..still fun to have the memories to look back on though! :)

I do think so too Mica. Another memory for my book. XO
DeleteMine are 20 and 16 and despite constantly taking their own pictures they are very reluctant to let anyone else

loool - Teenagers can also be a challenge. They have to think it's cool for them to agree on doing something.
Deletesuch cute pictures looks like they were lots of fun to make as well

Thank you Annie -
DeleteAw, Moumous, these pictures simply reflect the reality of your life with three kids and it is a wonderful and beautiful reality! I love the photos because they are so real. Every time we have done family photos, I ended up a stressed out sweaty mess because kids don’t cooperate. None of them! You are not alone on that. But you embraced the realness of it and ended up with the perfect family photos! I am glad that you shared them!

Glad you enjoy them Shelbee- it was quite a challenge to go thru this process -lol.
DeleteYou have a beautiful family. Very, very blessed. I do photography and, when taking pictures of small children with stubborn streaks, I often have everyone make silly faces at me. That way, they break into laughter and I get genuine smiles in my photos.
