Hi everyone,
In a previous post (available here), I talked about a few fashion Fall trends for 2019. It may seems a little off as living in the Caribbean, we tend to think it is summer everyday. Although, there is some true to that, it is pretty chilly in the mountain between November and April. Also, there is so many ways to incorporate some of those pieces in the daily. Today, I will share 10 fashion trends 2019 that is friendly enough for our climate.
12 fashion trends to wear this fall
1. Smart & belted suits: Switch your regular blazer with a belted one for workwear or with your denim for a casual chic look. Also, suit sets are upstick this fall. A few options here, here (love this one) and here.
2. The classic 70's girl: bow blouse, pleated skirt and jacket. My favorite from the list. Options here, here and here.
3. Lace: This is usually a spring/summer must-have and it made to the list this fall. What are you waiting for? I am here for those puffy long sleeves lace top. A few options here, here and here.
4. Utility Outfit: Utility jackets and vests are classics. You can also try utility jumpsuits, playsuits or bikers for a change. A few options here, here and here.
5. Bold & dark floral prints : We love our florals so when it's Fall approved, we know we need a maxi skirt or dress with bold and dark floral :-). A few options available here, here and here.
6. Asymmetrical: I believe that asymmetrical made a come back since 2017 but for this particular fall, asymmetrical clothing was all over the runway. Try a lightweight sweater with asymmetrical neckline. A few options here, here and here.
7. Animal Print (leopard & snake skin): When done properly, animal print is a classic: try a nice pair of shoes or a scarf when in doubt. A few options here, here and here.
8. Jewel tone fabrics: Here is the perfect occasion to wear your birthstone color as a blouse or a nice dress. Some of the color in trend for fall would be: emerald, ruby, citrine and amethyst. If in doubt try a nice jewel tone scarf. A few option here, here and here.
9. Western inspired boots: big chunky boots made a come back this fall. I still prefer a classic high knee or ankle pair of boots. A few options here, here and here (love this 1).
10. Flared jeans: The bottom bell to be more precise. I personally prefer a regular flared pair of jeans which is a classic but the bottom bell jeans will also look great with an oversized blazer or square neckline tee/blouse. A few options here, here and here.
11. Accessories: Scrunchies, oversize headband, barrettes and hair pins are so trendy now. Do not hesitate to play around with them for a fun weekend. A few options here, here and here
12. Square toe shoes: And yes, they are back. I remember owning a few pair of shoes/sandals in the early 2000's as they were in style. A few options here, here or here.
Also, do not forget about those all time Fall must-have fashion pieces : The leather biker jacket, skirt or pant, the plaids and the tweeds, the famous denim jacket (all season), the classy cardigan (or go oversize for a trendy look) and the turtleneck (I like the mock neck best).

Thank Jessica :-). I love burnt orange so maybe one of the reason I love fall.
DeleteI am sure that the belt looks great with a lang cardi - Unfortunately, I only have the regular one. The only one that have potential for a belt is too tight fitting for one :-(.

Thank you Mireille - I love that skirt too fall :-)

DeleteI'm on the hunt for a square toed shoe boot! I found a pair but they didn't have my size so it wasn't meant to be....I also am loving the classic bleted suits trend!

Hey Ruth, you should look at Zara, they had some cute options :-).
DeleteXo,
It was good to see a roundup of the trends. I'm hoping to find some square toed shoes that I like.
ReplyDeleteTry at Zara. They have a few options.
DeleteWhat a great outfit. Love what you've done with the belt!

Thank you Kat.
DeleteI love this outfit on you! So feminine and classic. And the floral print and color palette are so gorgeous. I am loving all the trends you have mentioned. I have been waiting nearly 20 years for square toes to come back into style. I bought the most amazing pair of Stuart Weitzman boots two decades ago and I paid a small fortune for them! They have a very square toe and I haven’t really worn them because that style was outdated. So I am very happy that it is coming back around! Thanks for linking up with me this week!
